Andy Jacobs is Managing Partner of Marketecture Group. With a positioning around Building Brands, Constructing Opportunities this new venture grew out of the need to provide the same best-in-class strategic guidance and targeted creative communications excellence afforded to larger organizations with significant budgets to small and mid-marketplace companies with less capital resources. With a rich, 35-year heritage working with over a thousand B2B and B2C entities from divisions of Fortune 500 companies to funded start-ups, in most every industry possible within a broad range of trade classes, Andy’s Strategy First mantra provides for optimal ROI for his clients.
Prior to Marketecture, Andy was EVP/Partner of Linx Communications Corp. As chief marketing strategist and new business development partner, Andy’s formula of “Strategic Creative, Creative Strategic” was adopted by Linx as the mainstay of all promotional and branding planning and execution. While at Linx for almost 20 years, Andy was primary manager of new business development, Creative Director of the firm, account supervisor to many of the firms clients and chief marketing strategist for these clients. Prior to Linx, he was Managing Partner of Ross & Jacobs, an award winning marketing communications shop for 14 years. Before forming Ross & Jacobs, he worked in several graphic communications companies in Manhattan such as Omega Graphics and Graphics East, working on accounts such as MONY, Piels Beer and CBS Records. He also worked for Long Island-based advertising companies including Adsworth and Jerry Metz Advertising. Prior to that, Andy held several positions in the jazz recording industry with leading companies such as Inner City, East Wind Classic Jazz and MMO.
Andy holds degrees in communications and marketing from the State University of New York and has taken continuing education and certificate courses in marketing with the School of Visual Arts, Harvard Business School, Yale Business School, Stamford and Columbia University. He has been active in civic and professional organizations including the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Business Information Group, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the Long Island Philharmonic, the Long Island Advertising Club, the Pat Covelli Foundation and other organizations, serving on their executive boards. Andy is an ongoing contributor to several marketing blogs providing thought leadership and practical advice. He is also an avid triathlete having completed two Ironman races and now serves USA Triathlon, the Children’s Tumor Foundation and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society as a Certified Coach. He is married, has two grown children and resides in Huntington, NY.
